The Lake District is surrounded by mountains covered with rain forest. This region of southern Chile is known for its clear lakes, meandering blue rivers, trophy size trout, snow-capped volcanoes and friendly people.

Fundo Ranco lodges have been in operation for more than fifteen years, it offering fly fishing in various nearby rivers and a variety of outdoor activities. Conveniently located just 90 minutes from Valdivia´s airport, this lodge is nestled in 250 acres of park land of native forest, land and mountain view.

There are numerous walking trails for all levels close to the lodge. Daily excursions can be arranged upon request for: Horseback riding , photo safaris, mountain biking or white water rafting. For those interested in the local culture, a trip to Futrono`s craft market or various local villages can be easily arranged.
